You and your team are each supervisors of a 20-person
(full-time/part-time) staff. Your sales
staff sells Microsoft products in a large store named: Technology R Us. Your
goal is to represent Microsoft’s Values in providing quality customer
service.
You have $1,000 to spend for this 3-month (quarter) motivation program
that meets the above goal. (Remember,
the goal is to reward good customer service; at the current time, you are not
concerned with increasing sale, although this will naturally be affected.)

How will you determine the
Theory X and Theory Y award winners?
Please provide detail.
I will watch workers for certain time secretly. Do evaluate their
service or job. Make sure they meet requirements for a winner that I prepared
in advance. I also make a questioner for customer about workers customer
service to each of worker who works directly with customers. In the end, I
will count the result.

Are the
awards chosen motivating to all employees?
Yes, they are. I thought it
will be work. This program give benefit to them and company spend within a
budget

Is the
program fair to all employees (full-time vs. part-time; multicultural, etc.)?
it is. Because the program offered quite different for part-time and
full-time. It gives as the portion to avoid jealousy.

How
will the recognition be given to be comfortable to all winners (public vs.
private recognition? We will ask workers what they comfortable with. For those who comfortable with public we
will announce them in organization when meeting pr put their picture for
employee of the month, etc. For those who are fine in private recognition, we
will give certificate instead and give the benefits privately
