Introduction:
U.S Bank Electronic
Communication Device Policy establishes rules and guidelines for workplace
use of communications devices, systems and networks.
Definition of Terms:
Systems include, but are not
limited to, the following U.S Bank -provided electronic communications
systems/methods:
· Computers and computer Peripheral Devices
· Mobile Computing devices
· Faxes
· Voice Communications (Phones and
Voice-mail)
· Internet/intranet
· E-mail, Instant Messaging or Text Messaging,
whether accessed utilizing a company-owned device (e.g., computer, iPad, or
other computing tablet), or a personally owned device utilizing
company-supported technology (e.g., Blackberry) to access U.S Bank’s network
Peripheral Devices means equipment that can be
connected to a computer or computer system to enhance user access and expand
the computer's functions (e.g., printers, thumb drives, scanners, iPods,
digital cameras iPhones/cell phones, USB etc.)
Scope:
This policy establishes the minimum
requirements that all U.S. Bank employees, consultants, or any persons doing
business with U.S Bank must meet when using U.S Bank Systems.
Guidelines:
· Please make sure electronic
devices switch to silent mode while office hours
·
U.S Bank recognizes that it is occasionally
necessary for employees to make or receive personal telephone calls during
working hours. The company requests that employees restrict their personal
telephone use to emergency situations. Employees may not charge personal
long-distance calls to the company. Excessive personal telephone use may
result in progressive discipline.

Employees should refrain from the use of any form of
personal electronic communication devices during normal work hours. These
devices may be used during breaks or when employees are at lunch.
·
Employees whose electronic communication devices are
camera-enabled are restricted from using the audio and video recording
functions of such devices anywhere in the building or on the company property
at any time. Furthermore, employees who are found to have used these
camera-enabled features in violation of this policy will be subject to
progressive discipline.

Employees who have access to the Internet understand
that this technology is to be used for U.S Bank business only. Consistent
abuse of this policy may result in progressive discipline.
